10.5-inch iPad Pro renderings
Benjamin Geskin created some renderings for iDrop News, comparing the rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro to the current 9.7 inch model. The dimensions shown in his renderings are based off recent leaks of iPad cases.
As much as I love the 9.7-inch size, I'm optimistic that this will prove to be a smart change. Even just a little extra screen would be a boost for productivity apps and split screen use. But it's close enough in size that it shouldn't radically change the feel of the device.
However, I hope Apple keeps the points per inch of the display roughly the same as the current models. There have been rumors that Apple will take all the pixels of the 12.9-inch screen and shrink it into a higher density display, as they did from the iPad to the iPad mini. I'd prefer that the icons, buttons, and touch targets be the same actual size across all iPad Pros without zooming or scaling.
